Yes. The writing is included in every build.
That is worth saying first, because the question usually arrives loaded. People have been quoted for a website, agreed to it, and then found out the words were a separate line item. So the real question underneath is not "will you write it" but "what is this going to cost me that I have not been told about yet."
Nothing. The starting figures are published, and content written from the information you give me is inside them.
What Included Actually Means
It means you do not have to sit down and write your own service pages. It does not mean I invent your business for you.
I need raw material from you — what you do, who you do it for, what you want people to understand before they call. That can arrive as a phone conversation, a few bullet points, an old brochure, or a rambling email sent at eleven at night. Any of those work. What I turn it into is your problem solved, not your homework.
The place the price moves is content written from scratch, where there is nothing to work from and the material has to be researched rather than shaped. That is a different job and it is priced as one. You will hear about it before it happens, not afterwards.
If You Already Have Content
Send it. Most of it is usually worth keeping.
I read through what you have and tell you honestly what still works, what has gone out of date, and what was never doing anything. Plenty of older copy is perfectly good and just sitting in the wrong structure. Rewriting it from zero would be billing you for work that does not need doing.
What tends to need attention is anything with a year in it, staff who have moved on, services you no longer offer, and prices that have changed twice since the page went up.
If You Would Rather Write It Yourself
Some people want to. Usually the ones who know their field well enough to explain it better than anyone outside it could.
If that is you, give me either finished copy or bullet points per page. Bullet points are genuinely fine — I would rather have your actual thinking in rough form than polished writing that has drifted away from what you meant. I will shape it, keep your voice, and flag anything that reads well but will not survive a prospect asking a follow-up question.
Writing That Has a Job to Do
All of it is written to be found, which is a different thing from being stuffed with keywords.
The old version of this advice was to work out what people type into Google and repeat it. That has not been how it works for a long time. What matters now is whether a page answers the question someone actually has — clearly enough that they stop looking, and specifically enough that a search engine can tell what the page is for.
In practice that means a page per service rather than one page listing everything, plain answers to the questions you get asked on the phone every week, and saying where you work rather than assuming people know. The SEO work and the writing are the same job done once, not two invoices.
If writing is not something you want to take on at all, that carries on after launch too, on a monthly basis rather than as a one-off.
The Short Version
Old content gets reviewed and reused where it is worth reusing. Your own writing gets shaped rather than replaced. If you have neither, I write it from what you tell me, and that is in the price.
